1. LEARNING THE LANGUAGE WITHOUT EFFORT
Spending your internship in London, surrounded only by people speaking English, is definitely an experience that I would recommend to anyone who is interested in learning the language of Shakespeare and its culture.
Not only will you improve your English and its fluidity without too much effort (and maybe even your accent!) but you will also get a real insight into how people live, work and interact with each other.
As cliché as it might sound, hanging out with English people might teach you how to prepare the perfect tea with the right amount of milk (yes, they really do add milk!).
2. LONDON – A CITY OF OPPORTUNITIES
Unlike any other city in the E.U, London is definitely a land of opportunity where the “sky is the limit” for young people who are eager to learn and succeed in their professional life.
The main difference between London and other big capitals in Europe is that London is constantly looking for young workers. Here, education and degrees don’t count as much, as long as you prove your worth to your company.
3. A PLUS ON YOUR CV
Visiting London during the summer, or spending the summer in London is a nice experience. But adding London to your CV is even better!
Working in London, from a foreign point of view, shows that you are a candidate who can speak English, understand British culture and work in a different culture.
As you probably already know, these professional and personal skills, such as the ability to adapt or solve complex problems, developed in contact with another culture, are very useful in companies and are increasingly sought by recruiters. It is therefore much easier to find a job if you have experience in London added to your CV.
4. A MULTICULTURAL & BEAUTIFUL CITY
London has a unique atmosphere. It is the result of a long history of multiculturalism. You will admire the harmonious cohabitation of people with all kinds of backgrounds.
London is well-known for its diverse neighbourhoodsYou can visit chic Notting Hill boutiques, experience exotic cuisine in Chinatown, and expand your mind in the South Kensington museums. There’s something for everyone, so you will certainly find your niche.
It is an awesome city where there is no judgment. You will feel at home because everyone is welcome, whatever their origins. And it’s wonderful!
5. LONDON – A CITY OF FUN
London is a city where you will never get bored. On top of having a LOT of free museums, you will always find nice places to visit.
In summer, try to stroll in as many parks as you can as they are fabulous and beautiful!
If natural parks are not your cup of tea, why not attend events on the rooftops of the city, where an incomparable view will wait for you.
